Snoop Dogg Touring The US
Snoop Dogg has been on tour in the early part of 2011, fresh off the success of his latest single Platinum, which featured R. Kelly, and is from his upcoming album Doggumentary, set to launch on the 29th of March.
Snoop is one of those performers that has stayed out of the spotlight just enough to keep churning out hits, and to keep a long-running streak of staying out of trouble (for the most part) and suffering from the burnout that affects many new artists.
Between live events, such as that of Super Bowl 2011 weekend, where he hosted Snoop Bowl IX, the Interscope Grammy after party, and upcoming ads with Adidas to celebrate his new sneakers, the D O G G is still keeping it real and entertaining in the same way he was at his peak, when the hit “Gin and Juice” was released.
Since then, he’s toured across the nation several times, and has learned the art of performing, where he’s been crushing it in 2011. In the late part of February, you can catch him in the north eastern part of the United States, such as Ohio and West Virginia, where he’ll be joined by hip hop artist Wiz Khalifa.
Later in March, he’ll be doing most of the touring on his own, and will wrap up on the 26th of March in Montclair, NJ at the Wellmont Theatre.
As is the case with most concert tours, the Snoop Dogg Tour is offering tickets via Ticketmaster, where you should be able to find a ticket for most remaining events. Tickets for the Snoop Dogg Tour 2011 range in the $25.00 to $50.00 range, unless you’re forced to buy them on a second hand ticket site, where you’ll probably pay double face value.
During the remainder of the 2011 tour, Snoop has been performing a mix of old hits and singles from the new album, so you’ll get treated to the new music before it debuts to the rest of the world.
If you do miss the Snoop Dogg Tour this spring, then you might hold on hope for a tour in the later part of this summer and fall, where it’s likely that Snoop will tour once more in order to celebrate the release of the new album and to help build up the press machine to move the sales needle.
